Nightingale Hammerson is a leading specialist in the care of older people, supporting over 250 Residents from the Jewish community. We have two care homes- Nightingale House in Clapham and our newly opened home, Hammerson House, Wohl Campus in East Finchley. We provide residential, nursing, dementia, respite, and palliative care.
We understand the importance of personalised care that centralises the needs of the Resident, with an on-site therapy team, which includes a dietitian, and a wealth of activities for Residents to enjoy.

The Role
As Physiotherapist you will work (across both sites) with residents from initial assessment, to forming a relationship and performing a variety of treatment options and interventions. For 37.5 hours a week you will help our residents maintain function and rehabilitate where applicable.
What will your typical day involve?
In this role, you'll offer a diverse range of physiotherapy treatments to our residents, including pain management, electrotherapy, falls prevention, and both individual and group exercises aimed at enhancing their well-being. Additionally, you'll assess residents' needs for appropriate footwear, aiding in mobility and balance, and providing walking aids as required.
Your responsibilities will also include documenting treatment plans and liaising with relevant teams to ensure advice and plans remain current. Furthermore, you'll actively participate in the therapy team, collaborating with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and moving and handling advisors, attending team meetings, fostering joined-up working, and contributing to maintaining a safe and effective working environment for all.

As a State Registered Physiotherapist with experience working with older individuals, you bring valuable expertise to our team. Your ability to multitask efficiently and complete duties promptly will be essential in providing timely care to our residents.
Additionally, your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively liaise with residents, their relatives, colleagues, and external agencies, facilitating seamless coordination of care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for those under our care
