You will be working in our comfortable 120 bedded Nursing Home, located between Clapham South Tube station and Wandsworth Common. Nightingale House enjoys lots of sociable, communal spaces and beautiful woodland gardens.
Reporting to the Head of Activities, this exciting opportunity will lead in the development of a stimulating, motivating and personalised engagement programme for our residents with dementia.
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of physical, intellectual and social engagement are provided with the aim of enhancing the wellbeing of the residents in our dementia care unit.
Who are we looking for?
You will be passionate about caring for older people and have experience in leading on the development and delivery of personalised engagement programmes for the elderly living with dementia.
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking, able to work on your own initiative unsupervised and, where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their homes.
You will have a cheerful, compassionate, respectful, and caring approach and good communication and interpersonal skills with an understanding of the needs of older people and the desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
Full Time – 37.5 hours a week
£25,468 per annum based on experience
