We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor who has a passion for the delivery of a first-class service to our residents. You will be supervising the teams on the floors and responsible for various logistical and operational tasks as assigned by the Head of Housekeeping.
You will be working in our comfortable 120 bedded Nursing Home, located between Clapham South Tube station and Wandsworth Common. Nightingale House enjoys lots of sociable, communal spaces and beautiful woodland gardens.
What will your typical day involve?
Ensuring that all resident households and communal areas are maintained at the highest possible standard of cleanliness, in line with infection control and presentation, undertake spot checks and maintain written electronic records as evidence that cleaning is in line with the relevant cleaning schedules and at the required levels.
Support the training of the Household and laundry team members, including COSHH initial and refresher training for all staff.
Reviewing stock levels and ensure there are adequate supplies. Reordering supplies as required.
Maintaining and updating the online timesheets, including weekly checking and approving of timesheets for Care Support, laundry and bank staff when required.
Who are we looking for?
You will have experience working in a supervisor role in a Care home and or Hotel/ Private residence/ environment.
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking, able to work on your own initiative, supervised and, where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their homes.
You will have a cheerful, compassionate, respectful, and caring approach and good communication and interpersonal skills. With an understanding of the needs of older people and the desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.

Full Time – 37.5 hours, 7 day a week rota
Part-time, flexible hours and casual hours are also available
